Dental implants are the best choice for replacing single or multiple missing teeth. We can only place dental implants if you have enough jaw bone. Bone grafting will require if you do NOT have enough bone to support the implant.
If you have had missing teeth for a long period of time, the bone originally supporting the tooth often already broken down and deteriorated. When this happens it may be impossible to place any tooth implants. This procedure involve:
Free inintial implant consultation. You will need to get Cone beam C T scan of your jaw bone
Assessment of bone quality and quantity by assessement the Cone beam C T of the area, which showed you need bone grafting if there is not enough bone to place the implant(s)
Gum will be numb up, a flap is raised, Dr Le will insert bone grafting material into the jaw where it is needed. You will be prescribe pain killer and antibiotics as needed
This procedure may be done at the same time as dental implant placement.
